About the Culture and Trauma project

The Culture and Trauma Project was funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council (Ideas Grant APP2010654). It was conducted in collaboration with researchers from Monash University (Culture, Trauma and Mental Health research group), University of Newcastle, University of New South Wales, and Phoenix Australia.

Findings from previous studies relating to culture and trauma conducted by the Culture, Trauma and Mental Health research group are also included within this report.

Several of these studies have been conducted in collaboration with Monash University Malaysia.

Our community partner, Shapes and Sounds, has been integral to translating and disseminating our research.
